The Raspberry Rules - Karen McCombie

Thirteen-year-old Rowan Love is confused. Everybody keeps telling her she's annoying, teachers think she's crazy and disorganised, her older sister REALLY irritates her and her best friend thinks she's a freak! So when Rowan decides to buy a notebook and make a list of rules for life, the 'Raspberry Rules' are born. Most of the rules are a bit crazy ('I will not put raspberries in soup?!') but overall this is a brilliant read.

Warrior Cats

Erin Hunter is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Her books are about clans of cats, and the hardships they suffer due to humans and natural disasters. There are four clans. These are- Thunderclan (Fierce and brave), Windclan (Swift and loyal), Riverclan (Sleek and strong) and Shadowclan (Wily and proud). This is a fantastic series, our personal favourites are 'A Dangerous Path' and 'The Darkest Hour'.
